Program Description
Studying a combined honours in mathematics and physics will provide you with a breadth of knowledge and a wide range of skills across two fascinating and deeply interconnected subject areas.In mathematics you will explore the core areas of mathematics, including calculus, algebra and probability, as well as developing a solid foundation in mathematical methods and techniques so you can apply these principles to the real world. Throughout the programme, you will have the opportunity to explore pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. To help develop the skills employers are looking for, you can learn the programming language Python and understand how mathematics is used in a professional environment.In Physics you will explore topics such as the fundamentals of classical and quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, thermodynamics, solid state, atomic and nuclear physics, together with the mathematics that is used to describe them. Your studies will culminate with the opportunity to apply the techniques you have acquired throughout your degree by completing a final year project. You will also have maximum flexibility to tailor your studies to your career aspirations and personal interests by choosing from a variety of optional modules.
WORK PLACEMENT IN MATHEMATICS
In between years two and three of your studies, you may choose to spend time gaining experience in a mathematics-related company or organisation. This will help prepare you for the workplace by providing familiarisation with the professional working environment and the opportunity to draw upon mathematical principles, skills, theories, or methods.STUDENT SUPPORT

Subjects Requirements : - Maths with 70% and English with 60% All other State Boards Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard Class XII: 65% - 95% required depending on course.Subjects Requirements : - Maths with 70% and English with 60% 2 years of study must have been completed.
- For IELTS Waiver : CISCE/CBSE Class XII: 70% or above. All other State Boards Class XII (except Punjab or Mohali School Education Board): 75% or above in English, depending on course.Study should be taught in English. Otherwise IELTS is required.
