Program Description

If you’ve got a calling to teach then UWS’s BA Education will help you establish a career as a primary school teacher.This degree is designed to equip you with the skills to work effectively within a primary school setting and will provide you with a broad-based education in contemporary subjects.UWS’s BA Education also offers the flexibility of combining your studies in education with a specialism and provides valuable opportunities for school placement throughout each year of study – giving you the hands-on experience needed to complement your academic studies. 

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

  • This degree provides a broad base in contemporary subjects and will provide you with the necessary skills to become an effective primary school teacher
  • Flexible study options allow you to combine your studies in education with a specialism, including: Literacy; Mathematics; Health & Wellbeing; Science; Languages; and Inclusive Education. Specialism options can only run if there are viable numbers of students signing up.  Students may be required to select another option.  
  • As part of your studies, you’ll spend 30 weeks on integrated classroom placements so that you gain hands-on experience to complement your academic studies

Other Requirements

70% in Class XII English and the certificate should be not be more than 8 years old at the time of making the application.No MOI letter would be accepted henceforth.However, please note that students will require an IELTS or equivalent, if applying from the following School Education Boards: 1. Punjab Board,2. Haryana Board,3. Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board or4. Jammu & Kashmir (J & K) Board.
