Program Description

BEng (Hons) Chemical Engineering offers excellent job prospects and the potential to help create a sustainable planet.This course combines academic study, hands-on experience and group projects to ensure you develop the essential practical and communication abilities required by employers in the chemical engineering and processing industries. Chemical engineering is at the forefront of the quest to produce clean energy and satisfy human needs across a number of areas in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. These areas include pharmaceuticals, health, food, drink, oil, gas, petrochemicals, agriculture, fine chemicals and materials.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

The BEng (Hons) course is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) under license from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council. Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the high standards set by the Engineering Council in the UK for Professional Engineering Competence (UKSPEC). Accreditation for MEng (Hons) Chemical Engineering from IChemE will be sought in due course. The curriculum is designed to satisfy internationally recognised accreditation requirements.

Other Requirements

70% in Class XII English and the certificate should be not be more than 8 years old at the time of making the application.No MOI letter would be accepted henceforth.However, please note that students will require an IELTS or equivalent, if applying from the following School Education Boards: 1. Punjab Board,2. Haryana Board,3. Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board or4. Jammu & Kashmir (J & K) Board.
