Program Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated how medicines are taken for granted. Faced with a new disease, it is only through the development of vaccines and medicines we are now finding our way out of the pandemic. The study of pharmacology underpins how medicines are developed. You will learn about the development of new medicines and how they work in the fight against disease.You will be studying in the UK’s largest Pharmacology department which has won the prestigious 2017 Queens Anniversary Prize in recognition of its work to improve the safety and effectiveness of medicines. You will be taught by leading academics in our £30m teaching facilities. You can enrol on our Deferred Choice Programme (C130) before you decide to specialise or retain broader research interests. Ours is a rewarding programme and you’ll have excellent academic and pastoral support.
Other Requirements
- Successful completion of examinations at standard X and XII (Higher Secondary School Certificate) with minimum marks of approximately 70 to 85%, according to the course and exam board.Please note: Sometimes your offer will be made on condition of you achieving an overall score in your XII standard exams, while some programmes will ask for specific scores in certain subjects. As such, any subject-specific requirements will reflect the overall percentage required (eg. 85% in best four subjects, including 85% in Maths), along with the individual score for each subject
- For IELTS Waive off , you require 70% and above in English in Standard XII for CBSE/CISCE/WB/Karnataka/Maharashtra/TamilNadu/Andhra Pradesh/Kerala/Telangana/Goa/Delhi/Sikkhim/Gujarat/Meghalaya boards.
