Program Description
We are committed to developing the modern professional engineers for the future by ensuring your learning environment reflects your future working environment.Our emphasis is on active learning, supported by traditional lectures and tutorials, as well as the opportunities to be involved in research-led teaching, conducted in collaboration with industry, government, research laboratories and academics around the world.The programme gives you the opportunity to undertake an individual research project in year three. Teaching staff offer projects based on their research expertise.In years three and four, you can choose options modules based on particular areas of specialisation of the staff.In year four, you will undertake a multidisciplinary group design project that brings together students specialising in various aspects of civil engineering, to work as a team to produce a portfolio. Students on the Civil and Structural Engineering programme will be acting as structural engineers for the project. Recent projects have included a ferry terminal scheme and an Olympic-size swimming pool.Other Requirements
- Successful completion of examinations at standard X and XII (Higher Secondary School Certificate) with minimum marks of approximately 70 to 85%, according to the course and exam board.Please note: Sometimes your offer will be made on condition of you achieving an overall score in your XII standard exams, while some programmes will ask for specific scores in certain subjects. As such, any subject-specific requirements will reflect the overall percentage required (eg. 85% in best four subjects, including 85% in Maths), along with the individual score for each subject.
- For IELTS Waive off , you require 70% and above in English in Standard XII for CBSE/CISCE/WB/Karnataka/Maharashtra/TamilNadu/Andhra Pradesh/Kerala/Telangana/Goa/Delhi/Sikkhim/Gujarat/Meghalaya boards.
