Actuaries are experts in the design, financing and operation of insurance plans, annuities, and pension or other employee benefit plans.This programme is aimed at students who want to work in the world of insurance, financial or governmental services, where actuarial mathematics plays a key role. You will graduate prepared for a career as an actuary, combining financial and actuarial mathematics with statistical techniques and business topics.You will cover specialised work in advanced actuarial and financial mathematics. You will then study more advanced ideas in both life and non-life insurance mathematics as well as stochastic modelling, econometrics and finance.We have accreditation from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, the professional body for actuaries in the UK.We have accreditation from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.Other Requirements
- Successful completion of examinations at standard X and XII (Higher Secondary School Certificate) with minimum marks of approximately 70 to 85%, according to the course and exam board.Please note: Sometimes your offer will be made on condition of you achieving an overall score in your XII standard exams, while some programmes will ask for specific scores in certain subjects. As such, any subject-specific requirements will reflect the overall percentage required (eg. 85% in best four subjects, including 85% in Maths), along with the individual score for each subject.
- For IELTS Waive off , you require 70% and above in English in Standard XII for CBSE/CISCE/WB/Karnataka/Maharashtra/TamilNadu/Andhra Pradesh/Kerala/Telangana/Goa/Delhi/Sikkhim/Gujarat/Meghalaya boards.
