Program Description
The MA in Architecture is designed for graduates and architects in practice wishing to further specialise in architectural design, develop their design and technical skills, or follow a design research / research path to a PhD. You’ll study a range of academic, research-based topics in specific areas that reflect your experience and interests.You can personalise your studies for the MA in Architecture (MA/Arch) with a number of specialisms. These include architectural theory, virtual reality and environments, climatic design, environmental assessment, parametric modelling, and sustainable design. You will meet professionals from world famous offices such as Hetherwick’s Studio, Foster + Partners and Zaha Hadid Architects, who are regular guests in our design reviews. You will participate in exciting field trips, and visit world-leading exhibitions and practices.This 12-month full-time programme comprises four core modules (total 60 credits), up to four optional modules (total 60 credits) and a research-based dissertation/thesis (total 60 credits) which you’ll complete over the summer. - To be offered a place on the programme, you will normally need to have a 2:1 Bachelors degree (with Honours) or better in an appropriate field of study, such as Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior/Art Design, Civil/Structural Engineering, Urban Design. Please contact us if you wish to check whether your degree subject is suitable, but a wide spectrum of subjects are acceptable. Candidates who do not meet these requirements will be considered on their individual merits and should discuss their particular circumstances with the Programme Director.
- For IELTS Waive off , you require 70% and above in English in Standard XII for CBSE/CISCE/WB/Karnataka/Maharashtra/TamilNadu/Andhra Pradesh/Kerala/Telangana/Goa/Delhi/Sikkhim/Gujarat/Meghalaya boards..Three-year Bachelor's degrees like BComs can be accepted, but sometimes the content covered in such degrees does not provide adequate grounding for our more specialised programmes such as MSc Finance.We also accept, as evidence of English language skills, an undergraduate degree from one of the following Indian universities (including affiliated colleges): Anna University Mumbai University Pune University Bangalore University University of Delhi University of Madras Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)
